Our Vision at St Andrews is to follow Jesus by learning His ways and sharing His love.
Our Purpose is to enjoy fellowship with God and one another as we worship in Spirit and Truth, grow in discipleship, develop in ministry and reach our community with the Gospel for the glory of God.
Our Values: Under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit and the Holy Scriptures we will seek to be a Christ centred church marked by: confidence in our message, vcompassion in our life and ministry and courage in our mission.
St Andrews' Church at Mirehouse, in the coastal Cumbrian town of Whitehaven, celebrated 50 years of Christian witness to the Estate in May 2006.
We are an Anglican church within the Evangelical tradition. We look to the Bible for guidance in all matters of faith, belief and behaviour, for us it is a light in the darkness that the Holy Spirit uses to inspire and inform the people of God.
As people who have come to know Jesus through a personal faith, we are enjoying His forgiveness for our wrongdoing, the new start in life He offers, with a new purpose in life, moral wholeness, hope for today and beyond death. These are His gifts to all who choose to follow Him.
